2004 Design Award, AMC/USAF Design Awards

Construction Cost: US $4,740,000

Working with Merrick & Company, Blair Remy provided Project Definition services which consisted of a three (3) day intensive meeting at Scott AFB, IL to develop concept site plans, floor plans, building elevations, and concept perspective sketches. This workshop was followed by three (3) weeks of site plan, floor plan and elevation iterations to hone the concepts and get over-the-shoulder reviews. Once design began we provided architectural “base sheet drawings” for site plan, building plan, building elevations, roof plan, and building sections.

Additionally, the subcontractor was to provide QA services for the Concept, Final and RTA (Ready to Advertise) submittals and attend the Concept and Final Design Review Meetings at MacDill AFB, Florida. The Requirements Document, Project Definition Book, updates to the Project Definition Book, DD Form 1391, the design guides provided previously, and AMC’s MacDill AFB Architectural Compatibility Plan (ACP) were used to guide the design concepts.
